Happy Birthday Lane!

How did this little baby boy grow up to be 10 years old!?!  What a blessing he has been to Reese and I.  He has been such a great big brother to all of his siblings!  These girls are so lucky to have him as a big brother and protector.  He's is a great friend and cousin, athlete and student. I look forward to watching him grow in the next 10 years, what an adventure it will be!

Lane's First Touchdown!

Lane is the dark gray in the middle with the pink arm band on, carrying the ball.

Lane's football season is now over but he ended his season with a bang last Saturday!  He finally got a touchdown!  The coach kept trying to get him one, and he had lots of carries all season but never a touchdown.  And thank goodness I was there to watch it!  Many of the games it was so rainy that either I stayed home or I was in the car with the girls. We are very proud of this boy and the good friend and team player he is!  I could tell at his awards ceremony how well he was liked by his team mates, by all the cheers for him when he got his trophy.  Love it!

Ingrid 2 Months

Ingrid is over 2 1/2 months old now.  She is getting really big.  She's been wearing 3-6 months clothes for a few weeks now.  She flew through the other sizes!  I took her to the doctor on September 29th (right at 2 months) and she weighed 12.5 lbs and I think she was 24 1/2 inches long.  She was in the 75% for both.  Over all she is a really happy, easy going baby.  I am so thankful!  I have had some more health issues lately (I will explain more in another post) and she has made things so much easier on me by being laid back, smiley and taking a bottle easily!  She is such a blessing to our family!  Ingrid has been smiling a lot at us.  Usually when we go up to her and talk to her she greets us with a big gummy grin.  She's getting to cooing too which melts my heart!  Her sleeping is great!  Most nights she wakes up to eat around 4:00-4:30 but last night she slept a full 8 hours and didn't wake up until 5:30!   She also has started paying attention to toys hanging above her and she'll swat at them to get them to make noise. The kids are enjoying having a baby in the house too.  Estelle says things like "I'm so glad we have a girl baby."   So thankful for our Ingrid Faith!

Football

Lane's playing on the Subway Seahawks team this year.  He is having fun, it's a lot of work, 4-5 days a week.  He's tired but he's doing great.  He almost made a touchdown at Saturdays game.  Like 1/2 yard to go!  Then he made the 2 point conversion catch.  He is also their kicker and has gotten a lot better at that!

Ingrid 1 month and the First Day's of School

I was looking at videos from when Lane was little last night after the kids went to bed.  I thought, when did this happen?  How is this kid almost 10?!  I feel like he went from 6 to 10 instantly.  He is such a nice kid and that's proven to me each year when all the kids in his class ask to have him over etc.  He's a fun kid to be around, what can I say!  He's busy with football right now,  just a few more weeks of that.  I think he really likes his teacher and his class, 4th grade will be an awesome year!
Estelle is really a hands on kinda big sister!  Oh my, she loves to just swoop Ingrid up and walk around with her etc.  It drives me crazy!  But she's only fallen with her in her arms once, could be worse.... AHHHH!
Ingrid is now almost 8 weeks old, but these are her one month pictures that I sooo professionally took.  She is such a sweet baby!  Doesn't cry much, sleeps a lot, and is really starting to smile.  I think she has quite a sweet personality and man do I love her snuggles!  She looks a lot like Case to us.  I think it's really sweet that she looks like her big brother.  Her hair is quite dark too, darker than the other kids was.

A little grin as mommy is trying to figure out the poses :)
Estelle started preschool a couple weeks ago.  She is having fun, some tears in the mornings when I drop her off though.  I think a lot of that has to do with going to bed too late and getting up too early.  This kid is a night owl and she doesn't require as much sleep as your average (almost) 4 year old.  She'll be in her room at 10:00 pm just talking away, reading books, doing her "work!"  As everyone else's eyes can't stay open she is wide awake!  She always talks about her teachers and her friends at Sunshine school.  And... I love that she is also learning about Jesus as she learns her ABC's!

Silver Lake

While we were in Washington we rented a house for a month of that time.  Some friends of ours own a house up in the hills of Whatcom County and let us use it... and their boat :)  It was a really nice, peaceful place for us to stay and wait for Ingrid to be born.

Lots of time spent on the lake, kayaking, boating, fishing, swimming.  Lane had a blast!

Lane caught a crawdad in the lake, cooked it up and ate it :)  If you click on this picture of Lane you can see some pretty gnarly stitches in his finger.  The second night we were there he mangled up his finger on a dirt bike chain.  He broke it and got 8 stitches in it.
This log provided a lot of entertainment!
 Gorgeous views!
Lane and Will had lots of fun jumping off the dock.

So thankful we had a place like this to stay and take Ingrid back to!  I wasn't able to keep up much on facebook, instagram or blogging while I was there because there was no cell service or internet, but that was actually pretty nice! Minus some people not knowing for a few weeks that I actually had Ingrid :)

Ingrid Faith

Here she is!  Ingrid Faith, born on her due date, weighing 9 lbs 3 oz and 21 1/2 inches.
I love this moment, right when she came out.  I finally got to see who'd been moving around inside of me for so long.  I didn't get to have either of the boys on my chest after I had them.  Lane was a c-section and Case was a little early and not keeping his blood oxygen levels up so they took him from me.  Estelle and Ingrid went straight to my chest though and I loved it.  I finally had an all natural birth this time too!  I had wanted that with Lane, but between a long labor and finally a c-section, it just didn't happen.  With Case and Estelle I was just happy to be having a VBAC after that c-section with Lane.  So I decided to do it naturally for a few reasons and I'm so glad I did.  It was fast so it was painful but didn't last too long.  I went from a 6 to a 9 in about 15 minutes and at that point my contractions were so intense and right on top of each other.  I couldn't help but push with every one.  I had been started on pitocin at 6:30 pm and she was born at 11:21 pm.
The next day around lunch time Mop, Grandma Barb and the kids came to visit. Estelle decided she did not like the name Ingrid and that she would call her Tessa. Then the next day it was Abigail. When people would ask her what her sisters name was she would say "My family calls her Ingrid, but I call her Tessa (or Abigail depending which day it was).  I didn't care... she now calls her Ingrid.
Lane is an awesome big brother, that's all I have to say.
Love my family!  Fun fact: my camera stopped working AND my phone broke while I was in the hospital.  So the pictures are kinda pieced together here and there from other people and Reese's phone.
Grandma Barb came all the way from Illinois this summer to spend a couple weeks.  So happy she got to meet baby Ingrid.
Ingrid is such a sweetheart.  Although our family will probably never feel "complete" with out Case here, I think she rounds it out pretty nicely.  Now that we are home after spending 7 weeks in Washington, we are finally settling in a little.  Being in WA and not at home kinda threw me off a bit.  But I'm trying to get back into the swing of things and enjoying my little beauty.
