Over the weekend we went and stayed at a beautiful hotel for two nights. It's only a little ways from our house, but just far enough to feel like we got away. We stayed at this hotel about 10 years ago with Reese's family when his brother Jordan graduated bootcamp and again on our first anniversary. We spent a lot of time in the pool this weekend and went to visit the Wild Animal Park too. Lane LOVES the petting area. He loved those deer and would look at them like he was seeing the most precious thing in the whole world! I finally got a few more good shots of Lane too which are always good to have.

Maybe you will have a baby deer. ? I have often thought I would be half as excited to have a pygmy goat as I would a real baby... ok, my mood is a little weird right now.

I STILL haven't sent your birthday gift. I am going to have it helicoptered there for fear of tampering or theft. Our track record with package sending is a bit scary.
finally, mr. laney pants is smilingAND looking at the camera. goes to show he was having a great time. he is such a lucky guy. glad you got to get away and relax at your special place.
